Following the death of the Duke, his heirs rented out the mansion to various countries, the most recent occupant being the Embassy of Philippines. Nowadays, the mansion’s library remains intact and has been converted into the renowned Santo Mauro restaurant. The ballrooms with large windows that lead to the garden are also original. The hotel has a splendid 700m2 garden where one can find some of the oldest chestnut trees in Madrid. During summer it becomes an extension of our restaurant and it becomes a very popular dinner venue for both pleasure and business purposes.
